About FSSD Global

Helping organizations move towards Attractive sustainable futures since 1989

Now is the time for the next step – fast spread at the global level of the latest, and highest possible quality of developments.

FSSD Global is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) created in 2025. With the vision of a sustainable World – where people, nature and organizations can thrive in harmony. And with a mission of providing an Operative system for systemic, systematic and strategic sustainable developments, while increasing the value of all App’s out there – UN SDGs, Circular Economy, Planetary Boundaries, LCA or any other App individual organizations want to apply.

The mission of FSSD Global is to make FSSD accessible worldwide, empowering individuals, leaders at all levels, organizations, municipalities, and governments to achieve ecological and social sustainability in an economically competitive manner from the outset of transitions.

The Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development (FSSD) has, during its 35+ years of developments, been proven generically effective across all scales and contexts. However, to accelerate global change, it needs broader adoption. With the assistance of AI, FSSD Global is making its framework, methods, and workflows open source and accessible to everyone. This allows even smaller organizations and individuals to benefit from AI-informed responses tailored to their specific needs. The platform is open and accessible to all, similar to Wikipedia, and is moderated by FSSD Global with support from scientists and FSSD leaders across the world, to ensure sustained quality of data-developments.

FSSD was founded in Sweden by Professor Karl-Henrik Robèrt, PhD, and has been evolving in the fields of science and leadership since 1989. Today, it is a global network of organizations connected to the FSSD Global platform, fostering a mutual flow of bilateral R&D, learning, co-creation, knowledge management, client support, and the freedom to share knowledge beyond the network. FSSD Global is committed to maintaining the highest standards of knowledge and quality in all its agreements.

“Having a robust structured overview makes sustainability work easier, more engaging, more effective and more fun. Without it, solutions typically create new and increasingly costly problems elsewhere.”

Karl-Henrik Robèrt, Founder of FSSD and Professor of Strategic Sustainable Development at Blekinge Institute of Technology

FSSD is widely used in various sectors, including business, government, and education. The framework shows how one’s own organization or topic can put its development work in context of the whole world, how one can subsequently plan systematically and strategically so that each step paves the way for the next to increasingly scalable and profitable solutions, while at the same time strengthening the economy right from the start.

The founder of FSSD and its boundary conditions for (re)design, Karl-Henrik Robèrt, has been awarded with, among other things, the Blue Planet Prize (the ”Nobel Prize for Sustainability”), Gorbachev’s Green Cross Award for International Leadership and a host of other international prizes and awards from companies, municipalities and universities.

Available worldwide through AI

FSSD Global is dedicated to making FSSD available worldwide through AI. We are developing an advanced AI-assisted IT platform designed for self-training and self-practices across sectors, value chains, nations, and all stake-holder groups. Our mission is to empower users globally with seamless access to FSSD and the highest/latest available quality of FSSD services.

How does the FSSD Global AI engine collect clean and reliable data?

The Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development (FSSD) provides an ”absolute code” for systemic, systematic, and strategic sustainable development. This absolute code helps formulate precise, open-ended questions for the AI engine’s collection of data, and leverages the collective creativity and innovative power of any team to respond effectively. High quality data and innovative scalable solutions are discovered at the cost of poor-quality data that is filtered away.

Additionally, our AI engine collects data from case studies conducted through action research. These studies involve organizations from both the public and private sectors that have discovered innovative solutions to their specific challenges.
